How we work

How an assignment proceeds

  1. Gather information

You share income details, Form 16, Form 26AS or AIS (or the corresponding forms under the Income-tax Act, 2025), bank statements and investment proofs; for GST, sales, purchase and expense records in the agreed format.

  2. Review and reconcile

We reconcile the documents with your books and, for GST, with the portal, determine the applicable provisions and prepare the computation of income and tax.

  3. Confirm and file

The computation or return is shared with you for confirmation before filing on the relevant portal. We then verify the acknowledgement and e-verification status.

  4. Follow up

We monitor notices, intimations, refunds and portal mismatches, and inform you of action that appears to be required, ahead of the due date where possible.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Who is required to file an income tax return?

As a general rule, a person whose total income exceeds the basic exemption limit must file a return, and certain categories must file irrespective of income, for example companies and firms, or persons meeting specified conditions such as holding foreign assets. Limits and conditions change, so please verify against current law; we can help you check your own position.

What should I do if I receive a tax notice?

Do not ignore it. Note the section under which it is issued, the period concerned, the date of issue and the response date, and check the same on your e-filing or GST portal account. Share the notice and the related documents with us so that a reply can be prepared within the time allowed.

What is the difference between tax planning and tax evasion?

Tax planning means organising your affairs using deductions, exemptions and options that the law provides. Tax evasion means concealing income or furnishing false information, which is an offence. We assist only with the former.

Who needs to register under GST?

Registration is generally required when aggregate turnover crosses the threshold prescribed for the state and type of supply, and certain persons must register irrespective of turnover, for example some inter-state suppliers and e-commerce operators. Thresholds are changed by notification, so please verify against current law.

What is the difference between GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B?

GSTR-1 reports details of outward supplies made during the period. GSTR-3B is a summary return in which tax liability is declared, input tax credit is claimed and tax is paid.

Why do input tax credit mismatches occur?

Common reasons include a supplier not filing a return or not reporting an invoice, differences in invoice number, date or amount, timing differences between months, and credit blocked under the law. Regular reconciliation with GSTR-2B helps to detect these early.
